CABIN FEVER REULTS
Cabin Fever Reliever 2023 is in the books - and it was successful by all measures. We did it. It really takes the whole club to be successful. From those who shared the word with friends and neighbors to those who showed up Friday evening to set up and stayed until Sunday afternoon to break things down and pack them away for next year. We should be proud that we provided the opportunity for families and members of the community to learn about the great Maine outdoors. Attendance was up significantly from last year, there were many families in attendance and we had many new memberships! The Silent Auction was well received and is now a regular part of CFR. We received many generous donations from members, friends, and exhibitors. All areas were staffed by a dedicated cadre of members who tied flies for kids, kept the coffee and food hot and the kitchen hopping, greeting visitors, distributing door prizes, introducing speakers, talking about PFF at the club table, and selling swag and raffle tickets. We want to learn from this year and make CFR2024 even better so please take a few minutes to visit the link below and provide your feedback. Having the responsibility and honor of being Chair of CFR is daunting and humbling. I want to thank everyone for the opportunity to work with you and further the purpose of Penobscot Fly Fishers of promoting fly fishing and conservation through education, volunteer services, and personal conduct. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you on Cabin Fever Reliever 2024 (February 24-25 at the Brewer Auditorium).!
