      Welcome to Penobscot Fly Fishers!

Penobscot Fly Fishers is a Fly Fishing and 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization that promotes outdoor fishing activities and conservation of our Maine fisheries. We meet at the Penobscot County Conservation Association's clubhouse located at 570 N Main St., Brewer, the first Wednesday of every month, September through June. We have monthly meetings with interesting speakers, annual fly tying classes which start the first week of January thru March, Fly Fishing 101 class every April, local High School fly tying, casting clinics, assist IF&W with fish marking, fish stocking, and of course, fishing!

Regular, monthly meetings are the first Wednesday of each month.  Social time starts at 5:00, meal available at 6:00, with program after.

Unless otherwise noted, all events are at the Penobscot County Conservation Association hall, as described above.

4 March 2020 - Regular Meeting -  What's the difference between peacock neck and peacock herl?  Are artificial materials as good as natural materials - or better?  If I can't get a specific material, what can work as a good substitute?  So many materials and so many questions - Join us to learn from Don Corey and Rob Dunnett, who will share their combined wisdom on how to pick out material for fly tying.
