The Penobscot Fly Fishers are proud to once again offer the Fly Tying Symposium for 2008.  The concept behind the event is to showcase some of the top fly tyers from around the state and beyond in addition to some talented local tyers.  The event will provide those attending an opportunity to learn tips and techniques from the masters in attendance.

We hope to have tyers demonstrating all types of flies, from Classics to Clousers, Divers to Dries, nymphs to saltwater and everything in between.  For those that have attended in the past, this is also a social event.  It gives tyers from around the state an opportunity to network with others.  As we all know, we are never too old to learn a trick or two from others!

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, it is all FREE to the public!  There will be door prizes and a raffle.

The Penobscot Fly Fishers will have a table where those people wishing to “give it a whirl”, can sit down and tie a fly or two.

Thinking about a new vise?  You will have the opportunity to see them in action (and possibly take one for a test drive).
