Please consider joining the Penobscot Fly Fishers if:
- you want to learn about or share your knowledge of fly fishing;
- you like helping others, especially instructing our youth to tie flies, cast a fly rod, or learn more about this sport;
- you want to be part of a group that enjoys the outdoors and each other’s company.
We offer you the opportunity to both socialize and develop lifelong friendships with like-minded individuals. Yes, we explain and instruct, we listen and learn, and importantly we fish!
Penobscot Fly Fishers club activities/events, which always have an educational aspect, are an important part of who we are and what we do. Members of all different skill levels are always willing to share their knowledge and experience.
Our Events Committee plans numerous fishing outings each year. All outings are open to members and guests, and often participants have the opportunity to fish on water they haven’t visited before.
The Penobscot Fly Fishers also conducts several fly tying classes throughout the year for beginners and advanced tyers. Some of the classes are taught by our talented club members, while others have been taught by world-class professionals like Don Bastian, Joe Calcavecchia, Ed Muzeroll, and Dave Klausmeyer
